Fund a dream…feed the nation
Fidelis Harvests is an agri-based startup, situated in the hot plains of Toll Gate, Clarendon. Founded by Matthew and Jaymeon Jones in 2016, the farm’s sole focus at present is growing and selling scotch bonnet peppers. There are currently two persons employed from the community to help see to the day-to-day operations of the field, with a few extra hands coming in on a needs basis.
It is Fidelis Harvest’s intention to help improve the community, not only through employment opportunities but with our yearly back-to-school health fair/clinic in addition to other outreach activities. To do this, the farm needs to grow while managing its risks – which include praedial larceny, pests, insects, disease and natural disasters.
Due to the current need to hedge against these externalities- primarily praedial larceny- an injection of capital is needed to bolster security to ensure the longevity of the project. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
It is our hope that Fidelis Harvests becomes a household name in the community, and we firmly believe in giving back to the best of our abilities. Help us to do our utmost.
