SMOKER 2017: THE LINSTEAD PROJECT

Quality Health Care in a Timely Manner

THE UWI MBBS/DDS CLASS OF 2020 PRESENTS SMOKER 2017: THE LINSTEAD PROJECT.

Smoker is a 60 year long tradition in which the third year medical and dental students stage a benefit play in aid of a local hospital in need. This year, the MBBS/DDS Class of 2020 has set a goal of raising JMD 10M in aid of the Linstead Public Hospital (LPH). Our final donation to LPH will be in the form of an AMBULANCE, allowing for the ease of transportation to and from the hospital.

Over the past three years, we, The Class of 2020 have engaged in numerous fundraising and outreach initiatives as part of the Smoker 2017: The Linstead Project. We are fully committed to the hospital and the communities it serves as evidenced by our participation in a Labour Day Project at the hospital. Additionally, members of the class participated in the Tru-Juice 5k Run/ 20K Cycle which was also in aid of the Linstead Public Hospital.
